About Us

Southampton sunset103.9 Voice FM is Southampton’s truly local radio station. Broadcasting from St. Mary’s in the city, the station went live in 2011 to provide a service to the local community, both as a hit music station and an education and training service.

Voice FM plays a variety of commercial rock, indie, alternative and chart hits throughout the day, as well showcasing local bands. From 6pm each evening we provide a variety of specialist programs to reflect the diversity and tastes of Southampton, including Soul and R&B, Rock and Heavy Metal, Disco Classics and the latest Dance Anthems.

What people are saying…

“I have to say that Voice really is one of the best run, most professional and polished outfits that we work with and that is across all forms of radio not just community. You guys are an absolute credit to local broadcasting – a welcome break from the dross and dull Heart output that generally poisons the airwaves!”

“I have to say mate that I am a massive fan of what you guys are doing down there – you’re pretty much the only local station that manages to be locally relevant but does it with current voice of real people not the big syndicated robot sound that so many have decided to put up with.
I’m chucking it out there – Voice FM is my favourite local radio station. Bold claim, I’m a BIG radio fan!”

“I hope that this finds you well, please accept my apologies for not writing sooner but I wanted to wait and find out the total amount of money that we raised in store over the weekend of Sport Relief. The money that we raised from the activities at the front of the store, the other specific fundraisers and the sales of merchandise was a staggering £20,000.
This is an amazing total and I want to thank you and your team so very much for allowing us to include you in this. You and your staff were so helpful and great fun…and we have some great feedback. Please pass on our grateful thanks to all of your colleagues involved and we all are looking forward to fun things in the future” Sainsbury’s Hedge End
