Bertrand joins up with England squad

Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand today joined up with his England team mates ahead of the upcoming International friendlies.

Bertrand is the only Saints representative in the senior squad, met with up with the rest of the players at St Georges’ Park, just a day after reaching the FA Cup Semi Finals.

The 28-year old captained the side to victory in yesterday’s 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.

The left-back is in the team who face a trip to Holland for Friday nights clash, before a return to Wembley on Tuesday night.

Bertrand will be hoping he may get a chance to add to his first England goal that he got in September’s 4-0 win in Malta.
