A full day of pop punk, ska and community spirit is heading to Heartbreakers in Southampton on Saturday 4th July as Pop Punk Palooza brings together some of the best local and UK talent, all in aid of the incredible charity Dreamflight.
Starting at 1:30pm, the event features an exciting line-up including We Know John, Everyone Lies, Wide Awake Club, Industry Plant, Lucky Hit, Stickerbook, Junk Season, Save Our Ships and Halfway Home, promising a day packed with sing-alongs, high-energy performances and plenty of feel-good moments.
But Pop Punk Palooza is about much more than just great music.
The event is raising funds for Dreamflight, a UK charity that changes the lives of seriously ill and disabled children by providing them with a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Orlando, Florida. The trip gives children the opportunity to build confidence, gain independence and create unforgettable memories alongside others who understand the challenges they face.
The cause is particularly close to the hearts of those involved with the event. We Know John frontman Sam has volunteered with Dreamflight for many years, witnessing first-hand the impact the charity has on the children and families it supports.
The charity also has strong links with the Voice FM family. Lu, producer of Simon Wilson's show, has volunteered for Dreamflight, while Punk on the Rocks presenter Jodie previously worked for a company that donates theme park tickets to support the charity's annual trips. These personal connections make supporting the event even more meaningful for those involved.
Alongside a packed programme of live music, there will be additional fundraising activities taking place throughout the day, helping to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause.
The event will be hosted by the Punk on the Rocks team from Voice FM, bringing together local music lovers, bands and supporters for what promises to be one of the most enjoyable charity events of the summer.
