Southampton’s Billy Morgan managed to creep into the final of the men’s Big Air snowboard final in Pyeongchang.
Morgan finished sixth in his heat with a score of 90.60 with his second round effort to be in with a chance of a medal on Saturday.
The Shirley boy finished 10th in slopestyle at the last Winter Olympics in 2014 but failed to qualify for the final this time round.
The 28 year old managed to keep himself in the running despite suffering from an ear infection in the lead up to the competition.
British team mates Jamie Nicholls and Rowan Coultas placed eighth and 11th respectively.
