International Women’s Day 2020 – #BreakTheBias

VoiceFM has joined several local businesses and organisations in making a stand for gender equality by taking part in the #BreakTheBias campaign – ran in Southampton by Yellow Door.

To celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day, local businesses and charities are sharing messages on how they will help forge women’s equality and break the gender bias in Southampton.

VoiceFM has committed to be a platform for local female artists and a voice for the women in our community.

Holly, Volunteer and Involvement Officer at Yellow Door, said about this campaign: “We want individuals and local organisations to be involved and share what they can do to break the bias and make the world a better place for women and girls”

“It's always important to celebrate International Women’s Day. We need to recognise the outstanding work that women and female identifying people do to contribute to our society”

“We do such great work in the community but it's just nice to have people come together for one day and celebrate women because we are amazing!”
