I am so happy to be back on Voice FM after a two year hiatus. I am one of the originals, starting on the station just two weeks after they went live many years ago.
In that time, I presented many shows including Weekend Breakfast, A movie show, Drive time and my long running old school dance show called Youth Club Disco, later Decades of Dance (Will let you decide which name was better, I know my choice!!!!)
I have also been very active on the station in others roles, for a while I was responsible for training new presenters, some are still with us, and some have moved onto commercial stations and beyond. I was also part of the presenters forum which helped shape the station.
Away from radio I work at a Special Needs School in Winchester, working with 16-19 yr olds. A very challenging but rewarding job. My youngest son is autistic and attends the school. I am also Chair of the schools PTA. During lockdown I ran a weekly Zoom disco for the students and we even had an Online School Fete, raising £1600. I also run my own successful Mobile DJ business, BX2 Roadshow.
Been married for 26 years to Tracy and have two sons aged 22 and 16. We almost have our own zoo at home too with 2 dogs, 4 cats, 3 rabbits, a hamster and a bearded dragon and two Guinea Pigs joining us soon.
So pleased to be back on Voice presenting Mondays Drive time show. I hope to bring my own style to the show with Brain teasers and lots of fun. Make sure you join in would love to hear from you.
