Seaside in the Square returns to Southampton city centre this week. This annual festival is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a variety of exhibitions, workshops and live music performances.
Seaside in the Square has steadily been growing into one of the UK's most unique festivals, with something on offer for all the family. Set in Southampton's amazing Guildhall Square, this year boasts a huge range of free activities alongside evening events for grown-ups looking to enjoy some live music, pub quizzes and cinema nights. Pairing the 'urban beach' location with over three weeks of excellent, culturally diverse events and activities, this year's Seaside in the Square looks set to be the biggest yet! For those who are in seek of performances by the local communities – you're in luck.
The United Voices of African Nations (TUVAA) is an umbrella organisation of all African groups in Southampton and they will be taking over the Seaside in the Square stage this Saturday (20th July). Activities will include poetry, African drumming, dance competition and exclusive performances by African gospel singer Uty Pius. Full schedule below:

If that wasn't enough, throughout the festival you will also be treated to a variety of other events – a fantastic showcase for Southampton, all of which won't cost you a penny!
