Several people are trapped at the top of Blackpool Tower after reports of a fire breaking out.
A number of people are being held in a “safe area” at the top of the landmark, according to Lancashire Fire Service.
The Tower has been evacuated as a precaution and there are no reported injuries.
Firefighters were called to reports of a fire on the roof of one of the Tower buildings at 12.39pm.
The people at the top of the tower will be allowed down once the smoke at the bottom of the lift has cleared, according to Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.

Six crews of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are working to extinguish the fire, it added.
Four fire engines and a ladder platform are on the scene.
Bank Hey street has been closed by the Police as a result.
