Simon’s top 20 tracks of 2018!

Simon here from New Music Wednesday’s I’ve complied a list of my personal favourite tracks from 2018. It was meant to be a top 10, but that was just too difficult!

20. Tom Misch feat. Loyle Carner – Water Baby – By far the best track on his debut album Geography, which is defiantly worth a listen!
19. Jerry Williams – Grab Life – Signed her first record deal, a very exciting year ahead!
18. Bugzy Malone feat. Rag’n’Bone Man – Run – This is just an outstanding track that I must have listen to a 1000 times this year.
17. Dua Lipa – IDGAF – Yes it was on the album that came out in 2017 but it was released as a single in 2018 so it can make this list! Dua Lipa has just had the most incredible couple of years and this track is just fire!
16. Wilkinson & Sub Focus – Take it Up – Turn this up to the max and just enjoy!
15. Jess Glynne – Thursday – A wonderful honest pop song.
14. Slipknot – All out Life – All about that riff! Their new album is one of the most anticipated 2019!
13. Mumford and Sons – Guiding Light – Just love this band, and what a single to come back with!
12. Tom Walker – Leave a Light On (High Contrast Remix) – If you’ve not heard this remix get it in your life right now.
11. The 1975 – Give yourself a Try – A band at the top of their game.
10. Pale Waves – Eighteen – Pop at its best
9. Professor Green feat. Rag’n’Bone Man – Photograph – A track straight from the heart and gets me every time.
8. Tom Millichamp – If I – I wish I had talent like this young man!
7. You me at Six – Straight to my Head – Everything a rock song should be.
6. Sigrid – Sucker Punch – You can’t but love this song.
5. George Ezra – Hold my girl – Just a beautiful track.
4. Frank Turner – Little Changes – Wonderful dance moves and taken from Be More Kind which has wonderful message.
3. Lady Gaga – I’ll never love Again – We’ve not had a ballad this good since Whitney Houston.
2. Marshmello & Bastille – Happier – I just can’t stop listening to this, its so catchy.
1. Sam Fender – Dead Boys – A songwriter of a generation.

2018 has been an incredibly exciting year for music and 2019 can only get better!
