On 13th February, 40 women sat for dinner together at The Bugle House (@thebugle.house) for an evening that managed to feel both glamorous and completely unintimidating, a rare and powerful combination. The Galentines Ball, hosted by She Connects, was black tie, beautifully dressed, elegant and quietly electric. From the moment I arrived, it felt special.
There was polish and style, yes, but also warmth. Formal, but not stuffy. Social and empowering in equal measure. For a first-time attendee and knowing no one, I was struck by how safe and genuine the space felt. There was freedom to take up space, to dress up, to celebrate ambition, and to connect without pressure.

Championing Women Who Thrive Together
She Connects is building something that goes beyond traditional networking. Their ethos, ‘championing women who thrive together’ was evident throughout the evening. This wasn’t transactional. It wasn’t forced. It was a room full of ambitious women given space to simply be.
The co-founders gave a short speech thanking sponsors and collaborators, reinforcing how much intention sits behind what they are creating. It felt collaborative, not corporate.
Sponsors Who Elevated Every Detail
What made the evening particularly impressive was how thoughtfully the sponsors were integrated into the experience.
Guests were welcomed with rosé prosecco from Ellis Wines (@elliswines1822), while dinner featured rosé wine from Apres Provence (@apresprovence). The cocktail sponsor, Mermaid Gin (@mermaidgin), added sparkle with miniature bottles placed on tables as beautiful (and very appreciated) gifts. Dessert was sponsored by Heavenly Desserts (@heavenlydesserts), delivering what was undoubtedly the standout course of the evening: a spectacular chocolate-covered cheesecake lolly with raspberry.

The goodie bags were generously supported by:
- Terréa UK (@terrea.home.care)
- The Vegan Wellness Co (@theveganwellnessco)
- Virtue Drinks (@virtuedrinks)
- Cloud Nine Hair (@cloudninehair)
- London Nootropics (@london.nootropics)
- Aqua Glow (@aquaglow)
- Argan Oil
Décor and styling elevated the room beautifully, thanks to:
- Luxury Hire Co (@luxuryhireco)
- Wild Flower Studio Florist (@wildflowerstudio1)
- Blow Up South (@blowup.south)
Production and atmosphere were seamlessly delivered by:
- Yolk Production (@yolkproductions) – AV and dance floor speakers
- Earth Catering (@earth_catering) – catering partner
- DJ SVGA (@svgauk) – DJ
- Claire Live Sax (@clairelivesax) – saxophonist
- Jodie Topp (@jodie.tmusic) – live singer
- Kate May Tarot Reader (@katemaymoderndaymystic_) – tarot readings
Capturing the magic of the night were:
- Natasha Leiden Photography (@natashaleiden_photography)
- Andriana Videographer (@odriway.production)
- Social with Chloe (@social.withchloe)
One of the most inspired and fun touches of the evening was the digital photo booth from Party Delights Photo Booth (@partydelightsphotobooth). It became an instant connector, encouraging women who hadn’t yet met to gather for a smile, a giggle and spontaneous photos.
Dinner was delicious and thoughtfully balanced across all the courses. The dessert, playful yet indulgent, felt like the perfect finale before the room transitioned from fine dining to full dance floor energy.

When the Dancing Began
After dinner, the atmosphere shifted. The saxophone and live vocals built energy, tarot readings added intrigue, and when the DJ took over, the dance floor quickly filled. Heels were abandoned, laughter grew louder, and conversations deepened.
It was special. Uplifting. Delightful.
More Than Just a Gala
I attended because I was curious. I wanted to experience a network that genuinely supports ambitious women. What stayed with me wasn’t just the glamour or the beautifully curated details, it was how authentic it felt.
In a world where networking can sometimes feel performative, this felt grounded. Safe. Empowering.

The Galentines Ball wasn’t simply an event. It was a reminder that when women gather intentionally, with elegance, generosity and space to shine something quietly powerful happens.
