Run Again
Interview with Southampton trail runner and musician Dave Pen by Xan Phillips
Celebrating the film "Run Again", directed by Alexis Berg with the support of Salomon, RUN AGAIN (66 minutes, 2025) is the portrait of a man who refuses to stop.
At 45, Southampton's Dave Pen, singer with Archive (an English rock band that has been filling Europe’s biggest venues for almost 30 years), finds himself condemned to silence: Archive hasn’t played a concert in
four years.
Now back working as an electrician in Southampton, Dave is looking for a new lease of life. He signs up for the Spine Race, the toughest foot race in England: 431 km in the heart of winter.
It will be the race of a lifetime, a never-ending quest.
The soundtrack to RUN AGAIN features exclusively iconic tracks by Archive and BirdPen, in album
and live versions. Filmed in England and France over nearly two years, the documentary followed
Archive behind the scenes for two weeks during their last major European tour (including a concert
at Bercy in front of more than 9,000 spectators).
