On-Air Conduct
You agree to:
- Follow the reasonable instructions of the Voice FM presenter or producer.
- Keep your contribution suitable for broadcast and avoid unlawful, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory or seriously offensive material.
- Respect the privacy and dignity of other people.
- Not make allegations about individuals or organisations which may be defamatory.
- Treat Voice FM staff, presenters, volunteers, event organisers, guests and members of the public with respect.
Please assume that microphones may be live at all times.
Content, Opinions and Impartiality
Voice FM welcomes guests sharing their experiences, opinions and views.
Some subjects may, however, involve political controversy or matters of current public policy. Where a discussion may engage Voice FM's obligations under the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, the presenter or producer may redirect, interrupt or end the discussion.
This does not prevent you from expressing your own views or experiences. It allows Voice FM to retain the editorial control necessary to comply with its regulatory and legal obligations.
On-Air Content
Voice FM retains full editorial control of the broadcast.
Your contribution may be interrupted, redirected, edited or terminated where reasonably necessary to comply with:
- the Ofcom Broadcasting Code;
- applicable law;
- Voice FM's broadcasting licence; or
- Voice FM's editorial and safeguarding policies.
Signing this agreement does not give you any right to broadcast particular statements, material or content.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for your own words, actions and material supplied by you.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to accept responsibility for any loss, claim, damage, liability or expense arising from your own unlawful, negligent or otherwise wrongful conduct or material.
Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits any liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Recording and Use
You consent to Voice FM recording your contribution and using your voice, name, image, photographs and video in connection with the broadcast and its reasonable promotion, including (but limited too): radio, website, phone applications, social media, promotional material and archive.
You understand that recordings may be retained and reused as part of Voice FM's broadcast archive.
Under 16's
Anyone under 16 must have appropriate written consent from a parent or legal guardian before participating on air.
