The Solent Cluster, a collaboration of businesses and universities, has secured nearly £750,000 in government funding to tackle carbon emissions. This project will focus on creating a low-carbon future for the Solent region by exploring hydrogen production, electrification, and carbon capture technologies.
This funding, combined with contributions from partners, brings the total project value to over £1 million.
The project will assess public perception of decarbonization efforts, identify challenges, and explore opportunities to create jobs and economic growth.
This initiative positions the Solent Cluster as a leader in the UK's journey to Net Zero emissions by 2050.
