Sharing an ethos that underlines our commitment to the community

Voice FM is delighted to announce that Hampshire home builder, Bargate, will be the official sponsor of House & Home with Chris Schutrups, airing every Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM.

For Bargate’s managing director, Mark White, the partnership is a perfect match.

By sponsoring the show, Bargate is helping local organizations and support services in Southampton reach wider communities through the airwaves. 

Simultaneously, Voice FM continues its mission to help locals build confidence through radio broadcasting. 

To date, the station has supported over 120 people in becoming confident on-air presenters, helping them progress in their chosen careers.

Host Chris Schutrups brings years of industry experience to educate listeners on the various aspects of homeownership, renting, and the property market. He views Bargate as a natural partner for House & Home.

"I've been a huge fan of the amazing work that Bargate does in our local community—not just in building quality homes, but in actively investing in the neighborhoods themselves," Schutrups said. "It's incredibly exciting to have such a community-focused brand supporting our station and a show dedicated to property education."

Bargate’s community ethos also extends to its staff, encouraging employees to spend two days per year volunteering locally. The housebuilder also maintains a strong ongoing relationship with the Saints Foundation.

For Station Manager Xan Phillips, this sponsorship represents a major step forward and a sign that Voice FM is cementing its place as a hub for local knowledge.
