Judy is walking 550 miles to raise awareness.
On Voice FM's “Your Green Breakfast,” host Xan interviews Dr. Judy Benjamin, 82, who is walking from Land’s End to London after previously walking over 3,000 miles from California to Florida.
Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s 15 years ago, she says she has eliminated her symptoms by taking action and changing her lifestyle rather than accepting decline.
She discusses differences between UK and US walking conditions, coping with heat, and how brain health is affected by toxins such as mould, chemicals, glyphosate, and alcohol, as well as poor sleep.
Judy emphasizes improving deep and REM sleep, exercising to support brain function, avoiding added sugar and alcohol, and getting tested for deficiencies like vitamin D and B vitamins.
She credits guidance from neurologist Dr. Dale Bredesen and encourages people to focus on protecting the brain through nutrition, movement, and informed self-care. You can follow her progress here: judywalks.com
