Southampton Celebrates 60 Years as a City!

Southampton is abuzz with excitement as it prepares to celebrate 60 years of city status this Saturday, February 24th!

The day will be filled with activities across the city, reflecting on Southampton's rich history and vibrant present. From historical displays at libraries to celebratory events at local landmarks, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

 Southampton FC: Fans can expect a special tribute during the 60th minute of the Millwall game, commemorating the club's achievements over the years.

 Port & Shipping: DP World will showcase its creativity with themed shipping containers, while ABP will organize a midday whistle salute from ships in port.

 Celebrating Excellence: The University of Southampton and Turner Sims theatre will highlight their contributions to the city's cultural landscape.

  Community Spirit: NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight, alongside Southampton Voluntary Services, will recognize the vital role they play in the city's well-being.
