Southampton's Historic Gems Get a Spring Makeover!

Southampton's rich history is getting some TLC! The second phase of the Heritage Assets Repair Programme (HARP) kicks off this spring, bringing vital restoration work to 30 beloved landmarks across the city.

From the iconic Bargate to the mighty Castle Walls, expect to see scaffolding and dedicated crews working their magic. The project aims to:

    Repair and conserve historic structures
    Improve public access to these heritage sites
    Deepen everyone's understanding of Southampton's fascinating past

  "Southampton's buildings and monuments tell our story. This program ensures they continue to inspire residents and visitors for generations to come."

Here's the list of some places Bargate, Holyrood Church, Castle Hall, Castle Vault, Tower Wall, West and South, Canute’s Palace, Watergate, Round Tower on Town Walls, East and Conduit House, Commercial Road
