About Robbie J:
My names is Robbie J and I grew up in London in the 1990s there was an ever growing electronic scene, I loved it and jumped onboard.
Learning all types of dance music genres. I came to Southampton for University and decided to stay.
Joined Voice FM around 6 years ago and now have my own show called the Chilled Beat Show on Mondays 7-9pm have a listen you may just like it.
Were I grew up there was a lot of music in our house so had a lot of influences, such as The Beatles, Incantation, KLF and over the years I've grown to like Drum & Bass and now listen from bands like Koop and Dj’s like TJ Bukem and many others.
My musical taste have changed and like a lot more the jazzy side of music. I go to festivals especially WOMAD where its a lot of world music and its all stuck onto me now.
So the show is a mixture of all my downtempo music and its got a lot of genres in there.
